ARTIST BIO

My name is Stephen Thiele and I am  a passionate artist based in Blairgowrie on the Mornington Peninsula Victoria.

With a love of bright colours and creative energy that drives me, I have discovered a passion by expressing myself through confident brushstrokes and bold acrylic painting.

Two years ago, I took the leap to start my own art studio and gallery where I have been able to immerse myself in my art whenever I feel. Painting for me is a source of relaxation, wellbeing and enjoyment. It's a gateway to a world where painting either reality, impressions,or abstracts can all dance in harmony. It allows me to connect with my inner-self and peace of mind.

I spent most my life in corporate business and building franchise business, travelling extensively overseas and around Australia.

Now I'm enjoying a new chapter of life , uncovering inspiration in painting the world around me and from memories of a lifetime of experiences. Though my in-formal art education can date back to early school days and teenage years, I am self-taught. I was accepted into the S.A. art school in North Adelaide  some decades ago however for business reasons I did not persue then  but the spirit is out.

My passion  for learning and growing as an artist is never ending and I continue to refine my techniques and style with enthusiasm. The most rewarding part of being an artist is seeing the joy and connection that my paintings bring to others. When I see a friend or a family member smile as they connect with my art, it fills me with a sense of happiness. The fact that some people have purchased my paintings at local art shows is also very rewarding and satisfying.

I believe anyone can paint and everyone has a story that they can express and create onto a canvas. Painting with an open mind whether it be still-life, real-life, quirky, playful, unconventional, or through layered abstracts or impressions, you express your individual creativity and you give yourself inner pleasure and enjoyment.

Art is truly a source of good vibe and positive energy for me and I am grateful to be able to share that with others. So, dear art enthusiasts clutch the passion, embrace the colour and let your imagination run wild as you begin a journey through captivating creations. May your eyes light up and a smile emarge as you position yourself to paint and create with the power of choice.
