I have long had a passion for art and design, and everything creative. Both my grandmothers were artists, one a commercial artist, who received a commendation from the Americans for her map work during WWII. My father was a textile engineer and my mother is a retired florist.
My sister and brother in law are both successful professional artists in Tasmania, specialising in graffiti art. I studied art at school and did an art foundation year in the UK, then progressed to an honours degree in Art History and Theory. Then studying marketing and interior design. After living and working in London for 20 years, and a career in marketing and communications, my husband and I moved to Melbourne for his work. In Melbourne I have studied at the Victorian Artists Society and exhibited in group shows. Here I am inspired by the Australian light and beauty of nature. |
